The fourth of fifteen RCAF Squadrons to be formed and serve with Bomber Command, 420 “Snowy Owl” Squadron operated from January 1942 until the end of the war, flying four different types of aircraft, and serving in North Africa and from four different bases in England.

This book is not a detailed history of 420 Squadron RCAF, nor is it a “day-by-day” summary of its operations. Rather it is an attempt to give the reader, through personal diaries written by 420 Squadron aircrew and ground crew, pilots’ logbooks, selected quotations from the squadron’s Operation Record Books and over 150 photos, a sense of what the squadron’s personnel “experience” -as told in their own words and the photos they took. 100 pages.
