Harvard restoration project update

An engine for the Harvard

The Harvard project begins! The future engine which will be a critical piece of the restoration project is underway. The shell of an engine that is currently on our Harvard will ultimately be replaced with a newly restored Pratt and Whitney R-1340 9 cylinder radial.

Shane Chipchase is leading the charge on this critical step in the Harvard restoration

A runnable engine has been located and brought to the Museum for restoration. This is a crucial milestone towards a running and taxiable Aircraft.
